Urumqi Ice and Snow Customs Festival
(January) tourists can experience the ice and snow customs in Urumqi, Nanshan and Turpan.

Grape Festival in Xinjiang
(August 20-26 ) The world famous Turpan grape has been cultivated more than 2,000 year. There are over 100 varieties, of which the seedless white grape is the most precious and is known as “the green pearl of China”. The dried grapes and wines made from fresh grapes are delicious. The well-known Grape Valley is the center of grape production. Since 1990 when the first Grape Festival was held in Xinjiang, the event has become a custom kept once a year. Watching a Uygur wedding, humorous “ Nazkum” dance performances Hami melon competition, a trade fair visit to the street of grapes and fruits.

The Korban Festival
The Festival, which falls on Dec.10th based on Islamic calendar, is a grand traditional hol8iday for nationalities who believe in Islamism in Xinjiang. “Korban” in Arabic means “sacrifice” and “dedication”. On the first morning of the festival, Muslim masses will take a bath and change clothes before making a service in mosques, chanting Koran, visiting tombs in memory of their ancestors. Prior to the festival, every household will make a general cleaning, prepare pastries, fry “Sanzi”, bake nang or Uighur bread and make new dresses. Coming bake home upon service, they start to slaughter cattle and sheep; boil meat and cook dinner to entertain guests with wonderful meals. The whole festival is full of joyful atmosphere to the accompaniment of songs and dances.

The Rozah Festival
The Rozah Festival, also named the Festival of Fast-break-Islamism in Xinjiang, is a grand traditional festival for nationalities who believe in Islamism in Xinjiang. It is usually celebrated for three days. “Rozah” is a Persian word meaning “fast”. In line with Koran, adult Muslin with no exceptions shall fast for a month. Fast, as a important religious ritual of Muslin is done in Sep. of solar year according to Islamic calendar. It is done in a serious and sacred atmosphere for one month, after which comes the festival of Fast-breaking. 

Noruz Festival
As a New Year celebrated by Uighur, Kazak and Kyrgyz people about 21st, March or during the period from 3rd to 23rd, March of the Gregorian calendar, on the coming this day, wearing the splendid attire and greeting the New Year, they take the special food-Keque. In a pasturing area, herdsmen usually make a fire for jumping over in the hope of getting rid of bad luck, serious illness and tragedies and welcoming a peace, happiness and bumper harvest in the year to come. In addition, singing a Noruz Song is a must traditional activity.

Jiuzhaigou valley is known as the "a Fairy tale world”. Jiuzhaigou sits on 103°46′—104°4′E and32°15 ′-33°19′N, the jagged Jiuzhaigou valley reaches a height of more than 4,800 m, thus comprising a series of diverse forest ecosystems. Its superb landscapes are particularly interesting for their series of narrow conic karst land forms and spectacular waterfalls. Some 140 bird species also inhabit the valley, as well as a number of endangered plant and animal species, including the giant panda. Inhabited by Tibetans, the nine villages and alpine lakes, affectionately called "Haizi", are like reflecting mirrors or crystal jade blocks inlaid in Snow Mountains and forests. At the end of Zechawa Valley is the Chang (Long) Lake and the end of Rise Valley are virgin forests. From south to north, both valleys stretch and meet at Nuorilang. The drop between the two valleys and Shuzheng Valley is over 1,000 meters, with 114 lakes lying downward in an echelon manner, on which are 17 waterfalls, 11 rip currents and 5 travertine beaches, formulating alpine lake clusters and travertine spots that are rarely seen in China and even in the world. A fairyland on earth, Jiuzhaigou collects the primitive, natural beauties best demonstrated in its lakes, waterfalls, beaches, water currents, snow peaks, virgin forests and Tibetan customs.
