Known as "the roof of the world", to many people Tibet is a mysterious land with grand scenery. The political, economic and cultural relations between Tibetans and Hans led to two royal marriages between Tubo Kingdom of Tibet and the Tang Dynasty. In 641, King Songtsan Gambo married Princess Wen Cheng. To celebrate this marriage, the well-known Potala Palace in Lhasa was built. In 710, the Tang Princess Jin Cheng married another King of Tibet. Tibet was formally incorporated into China's domain as an administrative region during the Yuan Dynasty. In 1951, Tibet was liberated and welcomed the democratic reforms led to the abolition of the feudal system. The Tibet Autonomous Region was established in 1965, which opening a brand new page in Tibet history.
